Daylilies

Daylilies are plants that require minimal maintenance but offer a wide variety of colors and forms. They can thrive in one location for 10 years or more without being transplanted. They are best suited for sunny locations but can also grow in partial shade. They are not particular about soil conditions but tend to be more decorative and bloom more profusely in loose, fertile soil. Daylilies do not like soggy, wet soil. They are hardy, resistant to cold, and disease-resistant. Many varieties bloom from early July until autumn, with some varieties reblooming in the fall. Daylilies are great for planting in groups and look stunning near pools or fountains. They can be combined with other plants in flower beds. Available in various heights, shorter varieties are suitable for the front of the flower bed, while taller varieties work well behind shorter plants. They can be transplanted from early spring to late autumn.
